Famous Swiss Psychologist, Jean Piaget, proposed the Theory of Cognitive Development in Children. He explains that children start learning with concrete examples – experiencing the world around them through their senses (seeing, touching, hearing, mouthing, tasting, smelling). From this they move to words and images (pretend play), to logical reasoning and finally to abstract reasoning.

Around 350 B.C, Aristotle wrote: “for the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them. Hands-on learning is an involved learning experience where kids engage in games and activities to learn something new. Scientists have proved that when children use all their senses, it helps the brain create pathways that make it quicker to learn and easier to retain information.

Vedic Math

Vedic Math is a collection of Techniques/Sutras to solve arithmetic equations in an easier and faster way. It involves finding logic in number patterns to find solutions in minimal number of steps. This process of finding logic and patterns in numbers helps solve ‘difficult’ and ‘long’ sums within mere seconds. The sutras break down some of the complex operations to such simplicity that the calculations can be done mentally, thus, saving time, and avoiding writing down numerous steps.
